Alcatel's 275x MainStreet Family of Data Termination Units  

The 275X MainStreet is a series of high performance DTUs that will replace the 2600 MainStreet and 2700 MainStreet DTUs.

The new 275x MainStreet DTUs have additional features not supported by
the 2600 and 2700 DTUs including

  • Line Interface & port redundancy

  • Many new line monitoring & diagnostic features
As a bonus, the value- added 275x DTU are priced the same as the 2700 DTUs.

275X MainStreet Considerations

The complete 275X MainStreet series of DTUs are available
in Release X118-HO-00 or above and in the Alcatel 5620 NM Release 4.1

The 2751/2753 MainStreet DTU are fully managed with release 7.1 and the Alcatel 7.15620 NM Release 3.3

The 2752 MainStreet is fully managed release 8.0
and the Alcatel 5620 NM Release 4.1
Advanced line monitoring is available on the 27LC2/27LC3, but the 2B1Q line card does not support this feature.
2700 MainStreet power supplies are not compatible with the 275x,
the 275x MainStreet DTUs use the same power supply as the 2801 MainStreet HDSL DTU.

90-0531-03/04 DTU shelf & integral power are not compatible with the 275x MainStreet DTU

90-0531-01/02 DTU Shelf is compatible with the 275x MainStreet DTUs.

Support for 275x DTUs on the 3612 MainStreet Narrowband Multiplexer (NBM), 3626 MainStreet Intelligent T1 Channel bank (ICB) & 3630 MainStreet Primary Rate Multiplexer (PRM) products is available.
The redundancy feature is not available on 3612 NBM, 2624 ICB and 3630 PRM products.
